Presbyterial Association
The North Auckland Presbyterial Association met at Whangarei on Wednesday afternoon. Representatives were' present from Whangarei, Dargaville, Hikurangi, Kaitaia, Kamo, Kauri, Mangapai, Matarau, Okaihau E., Onerahi, Waihou Valley, Wairere and Waipu. Mrs W. Elliott presided! The Moderator welcomed the Director of Youth Work (the Rev. Dr. Salmond), who gave a most impressive address. Dr. Salmond emphasised the need for Christian nurture in the home today, as it was. the initial ground for mission work. He concluded with the comforting message, “In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” Mrs Allan thanked Pr. Salmond for his inspiring address. Miss Thomas sang a solo. Wairere, Matarau, and Onerahi were hostesses for the afternoon.
