Californian Rugby Union Wants Visit From Australian-N.Z. Team
(Received 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The California Rugby Union has invited a combined Australian .and New Zealand team to visit California early in 1941, with a rettirii visit in June of the same year. The proposal was submitted to the New South Wales Union by Mr W. Heslehurst, a former Sydney referee, whosq position takes him periodically to America. The New South Wales Union has decided to ask for further details, but has informed Mr Heslehurst that the Australian team would not contemplate making the trip while the war is on.
Gold. A message from Salisbury says the Bank of England has offered to bUy the entire South Rhodesian gold output.
