Maungaturoto
The April meeting of the Women's Institute was very well attended. Mrs Cox presided and extended a welcome to new members. After business had been dealt with, the programme continued with a bracket of songs by Mrs Money, entitled “It’s Quiet Down Here" and “Mother Machree.” She was accompanied by Mrs Civil. A play was read by Mesdames L. Worthington, A. Newitt, J. Warin, and G. Hatcher. A dainty afternoon tea was served, and the trading table did very good business.
