Patriotic Fund Raffles Approved
[Per Press Association Cooyright.'l WELLINGTON, This Day. Regulations designed to form an important aid to the raising of patriotic funds in the Dominion were approved yesterday by the Executive Council. The regulations, formulated under the Patriotic Purposes Emergency Regulations, 1939. give authority to the Minister for Internal Affairs (Mr Parry) to issue licenses for the disposal of any real or personal property by way of a raffle or chance, conditional on the proceeds being applied exclusively to an approved patriotic purpose within the scope of the regulations.
