Town Tit-Bits

Parties have been very -few and far between this week, and social doings, generally, have been practically at a standstill. There has been quite a bit of tripping about by some of our well-knowns, so that, perhaps, explains the lack of entertainment.

One of the largest crowds ever seen on the Mt. Denby golf links took part in the Canadian foursomes on the opening day last Saturday. Glorious weather prevailed, and a number of spectators took the opportunity of walking round the links. The president, Dr. H. A. Good, drove the first ball, and later presented the trophies to the winners, Mr and Mrs Dick Morgan. Some of those seen in tile clubhouse were: Mesdames H. A. Good, Clayton Thorne, J. Donaldson, F. Reynolds, J. W. Morton, W. A. Christiansen, Ross Nelson, S. Weston, Champtaloup, W. J. Glanville, N. F. Stead, Eric Harrison, W. T. Surman, Graham Finlayson, A. O. Brown, S. li. Ward, F. Walton, E. J. Parkes, W. L. Booth, A. M. Steadman, Terry Mi'nhinnick, R. D. Barron, R. D. Macklow, L. J. Waddell, C. H. Finlayson, Len Weston, H. L. Younger, L. J. Miller, Kingnan, S. Feaver, Arthur Clark, N. I. Franklin, Dick Morgan, M. G. Fulton, A. M. Hart, J. L. S. Horrell, Harold Wilson and R. W. Whitehead. Misses Nola Maxwell, Nancy Brown, Zoe and Nell Ward, Clivena Young, Mary Rishworth, Jean Stewart, Patricia Ryder, Dorothy Steele and Erva Simmons. # * * * Mrs S. J. Weston and Mrs S. C.
