Miss Mowbray, Victoria League President, Dies
[Special to “Northern Advocate.”] AUCKLAND, This Day. The death occurred today of Miss Jane Anna Mowbray, for many, years Auckland president of the Victoria League. She was in her 87th year. The Order of the British Empire was conferred on her by the King in 1934. In 1939 she was made an honorary life president of the league as a tribute to her work.
