Drunk-In-Charge Of 5/- Car
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND. This Day. Pleading guilty to intoxication in charge of a car, William Golding, a labourer, aged 42. was fined £2O and disqualified from driving for a year by the magistrate, Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, in the police court this morning. The accused was seen by a constable getting into a car and releasing the brake. It stated he had purchased a 1919 model car for 5/.
