Child Suffocating
When a constable and traffic inspector visited a motor car on the Te Aroha racecourse on Saturday they found a seven-months-old baby lying on the back seat in an exhausted condition. The parents had gone away, leaving the car closed up. The child was suffocating, with a blanket over its head. It is understood the police are going to take action.
