Takahue
The February meeting of the Takahue Institute was held in the hall on February 14, Mrs H. Carr presiding over a fair attendance. The proceeds of the street stall amounted to £4 18/4.
Eight nominations were decided on for the Federation Executive. Nominations were received for the new committee. The election is to take place at the next meeting. It was decided that committee meetings in future be held at 11 a.m. on the day of the usual monthly meeting. A delegate is to go to Wellington in July to attend the conference. The results of the month's competitions were as follows: Plum jam: Mrs Adams 1, Miss Y. Bastard 2. Three largest tomatoes: Mrs B. Wright 1, Mrs Bastard 2. A competition was won by Mrs N. Evans and a game by Mrs McCullough. The luncheon hostesses were Mcsdames Quarterman, McCullough and Bastard, and the social hostesses were Mesdames Masters and Adams.
