Indoor Exhibits At paparoa Show Judge d

Judging of the indoor exhibits at the North Kaipara Agricultural Association’s G4th Show took place in the Garrison Hall on Tuesday afternoon. On the whole, the entries show, in the aggregate, no reduction on previous years in quantity, but the quality showed a marked improvement. As is usual, one of the most striking displays was the Women’s Institute Courts.

For the first time for many years the court competition was won by Paparoa, with Matakohe and Marohemo equal in second place. Paparoa Women’s Institute repeated its previous successes in winning the horticultural competition, with Matakohe in second place. A special competition for a com-munity-worked cloth by six members of any Otamatea institute was won by Maungaturoto, with Marohemo second and Paparoa third.
