petition will be judged in such .a way that every entrant has an equal opportunity of winning the first prize of £5. CONDITIONS. Here are the conditions governing the contest: 1 .-—Entries are open to any boy or girl who accompanied the Kupe club party over the Ford Company’s Petono works. 2. —Essays must be written in ink and on one side of the paper only. 2. Full name, address and age of the competitor must bo written in the top right hand corner of the first sheet of paper used. 4.—The length of the essay is left to the individual competitor, and !he essay must be his or her own unaided effort. I.—The closing date is Saturday, March 2. 0. —Entries should be addressed to Kupe, e/o ‘’Advocate” Office, Water Street. Wbangarei. 7.—Entries will be judged by a special committee appointed by tiie “Northern Advocate.” This committee will make a selection of work contributed and will forward the best entries to the management of the Ford Motor Company, Wellington, which will make the final awards. Decisions of the judges must be accepted .as final.
