The remaining two men were dismised this morning for the addition of 36 runs, and the home side thus won by 58 runs. The game was over in half an hour this morning, Whyte providing the only highlight by hitting Leader three times to the boundary in one over. Went to Fourth Day After it had seemed probable at one stage that it would finish on the second day with a comfortable win for Wellington, the final Plunket Shield match of the season between Otago and Wellington went to the fourth day with the extreme probability of an outright win for Otago. Otago recoverd from the position of facing a deficit of 82 on the first innings and losing 6 for 120 in its second attempt, to that of having only the last two Wellington batsmen to dismiss, and 94 runs in hand. Otago carried its second innings yesterday from 287 for eight wickets to 351 and captured eight Wellington wickets for 175.
