“'Advocate” Office, | Water St., Whangarei. ! Tuesday. February 13, 1940. i Hello, Everybody! Now that holidays are really over and a new | school year has begun, l wonder if the tongues have f stopped wagging yet? Possibly they’re wagging more than ever, with ] *■ schoolmates to entertain and “morning talks” to give | an opportunity to describe Centennial doings. I’m really interested in just when the “wagging” will slow down, you know, for I have a suspicion that until then, letters will be neglected. And I do so want to know all the “interesting bits.” Kupe is quite hopeiess. He was so busy', he missed nearly everything. As far as I can gather, all he did was to ride on a camel, go on the sightseeing tour, and sample the Dodgems and the Ghost Train. So, you see, there’s heaps I want to know. Besides, just look at the competition prizes waiting for you. A five-pound prize is worth wagging a pen instead of a tongue for, don’t you think? And finally, there's our Souvenir Booklet. We .want that to be as complete as possible—so complete that looking at- it in 50 years’ time the. whole trip will live again. So hustle up those letters and snaps, Northlanders. We must keep up our reputation of making a real success of all we undertake. Cheerio till next week. Princess Northland Tribe.
