School A Weakened After Vacation
Mucin depleted after the holidays, School A succumbed easily to Albion. Conway and Penney shared the wickets, the latter being unlucky in the number of catches dropped o/T his bowling. Slako took Jhree smart catches in slips, that dismissing Child being a beauty. Stevens and Child kqpt the Albion batsmen in check for a time, but, once they tired, Conaghan, who played a flashing innings, and others took heavy toll. High School A: 69 (Barclay 11, Miller 13; Conway took 5 for 13, Penney 5 for 34). Albion: 147 (Slako 14, Conaghan 36 retired. F. Madden 27, Snelgar 22 retired, Penney 21 retired, Conway 14; Broomfield took 3 for 40).
