Soviet Seeks Better Relations With Italy
ROME, February 8 The Soviet Charge d’Affaires (M. Holland) has held frequent conferences with the Italian Foreign Minister (Count Ciano) in an effort to ease relations between Itgly .and Russia. Trade representatives also are discussing a commercial treaty to replace the agreement which lapsed on December 31. Italy is keen to import more Russian naptha, because the revaluation cf the Rumanian currency has rendered Rumanian petrol too dear. A Slovak economic mission is arranging an agreement with Italy, and a Rumanian delegation will arrive in Rome shortly with a similar objective.
