French Chamber to Hold Secret Session
(Received 3 p.m.) LONDON, February 9. The French Chamber of Deputies decided by 262 votes to 227 to hold a secret session. M. Blum moved the motion. M. Daladier said a secret session would have more inconveniences than advantages , but left the decision 1o tlie House. Strangers and the Press representatives quitted the galleries. Before the decision was reached, M. Daladier said there were still many spies. He disclosed that during searches the police found a Gestapo questionnaire to German agents in France asking the strength of the police force, who were M. Daladier’s friends and enemies, the attitude of the French people towards Britain, details of France’s Arab and coloured troops, whether the Chamber had confidence in M. Daladier, and so forth.
