Poland Lesson To Neutrals, Nazis Say
“Neutrals must either do as Ger-
many directs, or suffer the same fate * as Poland,” declares the Nazi organ. " the “Volkischer Beobachter,” of Berlin, In issuing a further warning to < neutrals about their conduct, s “It is only logical that small eoun- * tries should adapt themselves to the requirements of their greater neigh- * hours,” the paper states. “Poland des cided to serve the ends of British Imperialism and suffered a lesson that all countries should take to heart.”
It points out that German relations with Hungary and Yugoslavia illustrate that Germany demands only the continuance of normal peace-time re-
■ lati'ons. This attitude, it declares, is t unlike that of Great Britain, which is using all her means Jto draw neutrals into the conflict. A Small countries, it adds, will pre- '. sently be faced with a choice, which may prove historically important. Obviously any neutral reducing her trade to Germany or showing herself - amenable to British influence will offend the edict.
