Showery Weather For Final Gallops At Ellerslie

[Special to “Northern Advocate ] AUCKLAND, This Day. Showery weather prevailed for the final gallops at Eilerslie this morning in connection with the Auckland midsummer meeting. The best efforts cf the morning were credited to Pasture, over half a mile, Silver Qnex over five furlongs, Pern ever six, while Royal Appellant and Ivy Willonyx, two Taka puna Cup candidates, went well over a round. Tristram Shandy opened proceedings by running half a mile in 545, after taking 13 l-5s for the first furlong. British Talent and Knight of Australia were sent a_mile, running the distance in 1.52, the last half-mile in 55 2-ss. Hot Shot, after taking 11 2-5 s for the first furlong, ran three in 445. Silver Quex beat Aero King by about three lengths at the end of five furlongs in 1.4 3-5. Pern Best Over Six. Aero Queen beat Bright Idea at the conclusion of six furlongs in 1.21 1-5. Fern, after traversing his first three furlongs in 38 4-ss, got to the end of six in 1.19 4-5, the best of the morning over the distance.

Beeswing ran five furlongs nicely in 1.8 2-5, while Penzance covered three in 425.

Silver Stick impressed more than Worton at the end of five furlongs in 1.6, the first two taking 25 l-ss. Bronze Emerald shaded Lady Aeushla at the end of half a mile in 51 4-ss. the first furlong taking 13s. Tea Gong Pleases. Hinehuu took 53 2-5 for a similar task. Royal Appellant and Ivy Willonyx were sent a round, completing the distance in 2.11 1-5. Tea Gong, Kelly and Valmint were in that order at the end of seven furlongs in 1.35 2-5. Tea Gong pleased by his effort. Right Royal beat Auburn Lad at the finish of five furlongs in 1.6 4-5. Armacourt ran half a mile in 525. but seemed to be stopping a bit at the end. Loombination and Hutana covered six furlongs in 1.22 4-5,, the latter having a slight advantage at the end. Lrazilian and Land Girl were sent six furlongs, Sir Cameron joining in at the five furlongs post. The full distance took 1.21 1-5, and the last five furlongs 1.7. Sir Cameron finished in front of Brazilian, who was well clear of Land Girl. Night Beam finished in front of Royal Descent at the conclusion of five furlongs in 1.6 3-5. Mon acre and Clinch, after running their first two furlongs in 27 1-5, completed five in 1.10, but Monacre was doing it easily at the end. Pasture Beats Bournemouth 'Pasture and Bournemouth covered half a mile in 51 1-5, the former finishing on the better at the end. This was the best ojj the morning over the distance.

Elise and Sardue covered five furlongs in 1.8, while Sefcrof and Odtaa, after running their first two furlongs in 2-7 1-5, completed six in 1.21 2-5. Sebrof impressed most. Selwyn traversed five furlongs in 1.5 4-5, the first two taking 26 1-5.

Beverley ran a mile in 1.51 4-5, the first half mile tkking 55 2-5. Raj any a was just in front of Poland at the finish of five furlongs in 1.7 2-5, while Cintrace beat Cheddlngton by several lengths at-fhe conclusion of half a mile in 54 4-5, the first furlong taking 13 1-5. Mintlaw, after running his first furlong in 13 2-5 on No. 3 grass track, completed a mile in 1.53. Royal Huntress and Agog ran six furlongs in 1.22 2-5, the last three furlongs in 30 3-5.
