Czechs Seek Volunteers In London
LONDON, January 23. A Czechoslovakia committee is enrolling London volunteers for the Czech Army in France. The former President (Dr. E. Benes) emphasised that it was the duty of his compatriots to fight beside the Allies. The Secretary of State for JVar (Mr Oliver Stanley) was asked in the House of Commons whether he was prepared to allow enlistment in the British Army of. friendly Czech citizens, says a British Official Wireless message. He replied that any alien could hold a commission. or be entered for enlistment in any of His Majesty’s forces as if he were a British subject. Czechs, however, ware feeing encouraged to enlist in the Czech French Legion. ' : v : '■ ' ' 1
