Regent Films Provide All-Round Entertainment
When a pair of harum-scarum American newsreel cameramen get mixed up in an Arabian revolt there is bound to be excitement, and with this theme, “Chasing Danger.” proves to be a thrilling film. This film, which opened a twonight season at the Regent Theatre last evening, brings Preston Foster in a typical daredevil role, Wally Vernon as his comedy assistant, and Lynn Bari as a spy in distress. Hair-raising experiences are filtered with comedy, particularly as Vernon is chased by a plump Arab maiden intent on marriage.
Superb characterisations by Freida Inescourt, Otto Kruger, and Rochelle Hudson make the second feature, “A Woman Is the Judge,” a film packed with suspense. Engrossing story of a woman jurist suddenly called upon to decide the fate of her own daughter, accused of murder, the film deals with the machinery of tlie law and the people who become enmeshed in its relentless coils. /
