These rare and interesting pictures show Nazi Fuehrer Hitler of other days. Top left, a political prisoner in Landsberg prison, he is shown reading in his cell. He was an “ honour ” prisoner. Lower right„ another view of him in prison, as he looks through barred window. It was here he wrote “Mein Kampf.” Lower left, leaving the prison, in December, 1924. He was then 35. Upper right, arrow indicates him in a group of wounded veterans, shortly after close of World War. His moustache was larger in those days. Hitler was arrested after he attempted his famous “beer hall” putsch, on November 8, 1923, in Munich. It was a failure. Sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, he was released within a year and immediately commenced organisation of his group which eventually became the Nazis.
