Sanders Cup Committee Adopts Points System

[Per Press Association. Copyright .] WELLINGTON, This Day.

Conferences of the Sanders, Idle Along, Cornwell, and Tauranga national championship committees were held last night. As expected, the Sanders Cup conference altered the method of deciding the winner to the points system. The winner received 31 points, second boat 15 points, third ? points, fourth 4 points, and fifth 1 point. This is the same system in use by the New South Wales 18-footers’ League, and was used in the contest at Auckland in February. By the method now adopted, if a boat has won three races before five have been sailed, she is the winner, and the contest will be finished.
