Propaganda?
The German official news agency says:
“We have just learned of unexampled occurrences at the burial of the, Graf Spee’s dead. “British seamen spat on the coffins during the procession, yowled during the funeral oration 1 , and threw a dead dog in the grave.” It is reported from Berlin that only one newspaper the “Deutsche Aligemeine Zeitung,” reveals the suicide of Captain Langsdorff. The news is in the form of a brief notice on the front page, published without comment.
