Miss Joy Scott left on Tuesday for an extended holiday with relatives in Auckland. Mr Mat. Kennedy is home on final leave from Burnham military camp. Mr Eric Pearson is also home on leave from military camp. Mr and Mrs C. Mitchell. Valley Road, left for the south this week on annual holiday. Mr J. Rarity was a visitor to Hikurangi during the week. Miss C. Smith, who has been teaching in Hikurangi for the past 12 jhonths left for the South Island. Mr Hawson returned home from hospital on Tuesday. Mrs Hughes Is reported as progressing favourably in the Whangarei hospital. Miss Joyce Parsons, base taken up nursing at the Kawakawa hospital. Mrs Ivy Wedge has returned to hospital for further treatment. Mr and Mrs D. Clark are leaving for Kaeo tomorrow. There will be only two or three families in Valley Road after Friday. Some are leaving for Russell, another for Devonport and the rest to nearer Beaches. ■ Mr H. Ludlow and Miss Allen were Visitors to Mr and Mrs D. Clark at the week-end. .
