Mangonui County Tournament
Rain on Saturday prevented the continuation of the Mangonui County Handicap Tournament carried over from the previous weekend, but a glorious day on Sunday allowed the completion of the fixture. As the finals approached, matches became harder and scores closer, end in very few of the events could the eventual winners be accurately forecast. The ultimate winners in the different sections were:
Men’s Singles; R. Ridings. Ladies’ Singles: Mrs R. T. Stitt Men’s Doubles; B. Berry and M. Crenc. Ladies’ Doubles: Mrs B. McKinnon and Miss M, Puckey. l Churned Doubles: Mr and Mrs R. T. Stitt.
