U.S. Retort To Molotoff
WASHINGTON, December 19,
The Assistant-Secretary of Stale (Mr Summer Welles), replying to the statement by the Russian Premier (M. Molotoff), on December 31, in which he chided the United States over its relations with Cuba, said:
“Certainly the policy of the United Slates towards its neighbour Cuba has not been a policy which manifested itself in the ruthless military invasion of that neighbour, nor in the slaughter of helpless civilians by bombardment from the air.”
