N. Otago Wool Appraisal
[Per Press Association. Copyright .] OAMARU, This Day. The first wool appraisal at- Oamaru was held on Saturday, when a catalogue, comprising approximately 4000 bales was submitted.
The greater proportion represented farmers’ clips with a proportion ot early shorn station wool. The range of values is as follows: Fine halfbred.—Super, 153 d to 163 d; average, 13d to 15d; inferior, 12d to 12fd. Medium halfbrsd.—Super, 15|d to 164-d; average, 14£d to 15dd; inferior, 123 d to 13£d. Fine crossbred.—Super, 14d to 153 d; average, 123 d to 133 d; inferior, lUd to 12Jd. Medium crossbred.—Super, 13.',d to 14d; average, 12',d to 13d; inferior,. Hid to 12d. Crossbred. —Super, 12d to 12.3 d; average, Hid to 123 d; inferior, lOid to Hd, Coarse Crossbred.—lOd to 103 d. Hogget wool, necks, bellies, pieces and crutchings, all sold at equally satisfactory prices.
