Anti-Gangster Is U.S. Presidential Candidate

Mr Thomas E. Dewey, District Attorney for New York, who, previous to the last national election, made charges linking Democrats with gangsters in New York, has announced his candidature for Republican nomination for President, basing his campaign on attacks on “an incompetent Government and unstable business.”
