Kaikohe Championships
KAIKOHE, This Day. Mrs R. Bainbi’idge and Mr E. Baker are the Kaikohe golf champions. On Sunday morning the final matches for the ladies' and men’s championships were held by the KaL kohe Golf Club. The course was in excellent order, and, with fine weather, good scores were returned.
In the ladies’ section, Mrs Bainbridge defeated Mrs A. Edwards 5 and 4. The match was over 18 holes. Played over 36 holes, the men’s match between E. Baker and P. M. Williams, was won by the former, at at the last hole, 1 up. Baker was 9 up at the eighteenth, and then lost several holes. In another championship match, Jackson defeated G. Ludbrook. 5 up.
