Waitangi Celebrations Will Continue
Information from Sir Apirana Ngata that the Waitangi celebrations, in common with other Centennial observances, will, continue uninterrupted, was received by a conference of Ngapuhi elders held at Waiomio on Friday. Sir Apirana said he had consulted the Hon. W. Parry on the matter. Ngapuhis will be hosts for several thousand visitors from southern tribes, and the conference yesterday appointed a sub-committee of 60 to make the necessary arrangements. All northern tribes will be circularised with a copy of the report of proceedings.
