Steps Taken To Keep Suez Open

It is staled that the last of the children and mothers will be evacuated from London by G p.m. Between Friday and midnight on Sunday, GOO,GOO were evacuated, end there was not a single casu-
ally. Over 5000 patients wore also transferred from London hospitals. It is officially stated that all neces-
sary steps have been taken to ensure that there is no hindrance in the Suez Canal to merchant shipping.
The War Office reports that regular forces and all other necessary measures to ensure the security of the colonies have been applied. Mr Anthony Eden took office today. Though he is not a member of the War Cabinet, lie attends all meetings of the Cabinet in order to keep the Dominions apprised at all times.
