As chairman of the borough electrical committee, the Mayor, Mr W. Jones, is to represent the Whangarei Borough Council at the conference of the Electric-Power Boards and Supply Authorities’ Association, commencing at Wellington on Monday, September 11. The electrical engineer, Mr W. J. Dawson, is also to be in attendance. Mr Ken Given, now of the staff ot a Wellington pharmacy, is on holiday with his parents, Mr and Mrs W. A. Given, of Powhiri Avenue. He wll leave Whangarei at the week-end.
