Barefoot Finder Beats Lofty Blomfield
[Special to “Northern Advocate”! AUCKLAND, This Day. The Indian wrestler, Prince Bhu Finder, proved too elusive for Lofty Blomfield when he met him at the Town Hall last night, and won the bout by one fall. It was Finder’s first appearance in Naw Zealand, and he created a good impression. The fall he secured was the only one of the bout. The best was seen of Blomfield in the eighth round, when he went full out to trap Finder in the octopus clamp. Three times he reached the preliminary position, taut, before he could stand up to complate the hold, the Indian, who wrestled barefooted, had wriggled to freedom. Blomfield weighed 16st 81b, Finder 16st 71b.
