A good battle between the forwards ensued with Bradley and Whiteman, of Cld Boys, and Fletcher and McKenzie of Kamo, showing out prominently. Eventually Old Boys opened the scoring, Alison registering a good try and half-time came with the score: Old Boys 3, Kamo 0. Infringements by both sides were helping to spoil the game. Old Boys’ backs went away in a chain-passing rush which ended with Alison going over and then passing to Bradley. Masters failed to convert: Old Boys 6, Kamo 0. Kamo backs went away nicely, Sullivan sending from a scrum to Corban who had moved from fullback into the five-eighths line, to Skelton, where the movement broke down and Alison kicked over to dash over for a good try. The kick failed, j With nine points in the lead Oldl Boys showed improvement. In the j I best movement of the day Old Boys’ backs went away and Campbell made a good run to score. Masters con- ■ verted.
In the closing stages of the game Campbell repeated the effort but Masters failed to convert and the final whistle came with the score: Old Boys 17, Kamo 0.
