“Submarine Patrol”: Regent’s Thrilling’ Attraction
Built of wood, and carrying only the lightest of armament, the Navy submarine chasers formed one of the least-known sections of the fleet during the Great War. Nevertheless, they saw some of the perilous and exciting action of the high seas. Their story has at last been told on the screen in "Submarine Patrol.” Twentieth Century-Fox’s thrilling drama which commenced its Whangarei season at the Regent Theatre last night. Spoiled son of an American millionaire. Richard Greene, of "Kentucky" fame, joins the navy as an engineer and is assigned to ,a. sub-chaser, and finds himself member of a motley crow of landlubbers.
