105 Years Old Today
DUNEDIN, This Day. Mrs Emma Harries is celebrating her 105th birthday today. She still holds her birth certificate to this effect. She enjoys remarkably good health, and her eyesight is good, although her hearing has failed slightly. Mrs Harries was born at Bermondsey on July 18, 1834. She lived in Australia for 20 years, and was married there. She arrived at Port Chalmers in 1888, and was widowed eight years later. She now lives with her niece, Mrs M. A. McFadyen.
