NORTHLAND TRIBES

"Advocate" Office. Water Street. Wlu-ngaroi, Tuesday. July 18. 1939. Bear Northlanders, By all the laws a fortnight of late nights and a severe bout of ’flu should leave, me very listless. I’m not. Princess thought of a tonic when I came home; but there could be no better tonic than the splendid, response Northland has made to the Kupc Clubs Centennial Holiday Scheme. My travels in the North have been crammed with adventure. I turned roadman, once, and dug a way lor the car through a slip ou the road near Rawene. Mud, w'ater, cold and ’flu—it was worth them all to see so many Northlanders, young and old, and to help the Club’s campaign. ■ This much I know from my travels: that the Centennial Holiday Scheme will indeed bring sunshine into the lives; of many Young Northlanders. Some of the boys and girls whom E met in Kokianga and "The Bay” have never seen, a town bigger than Kaikohe. Think of the thrill and the excitement our trip to the Centennial will mean to them. We’re working for happiness, my followers, and from today’s total you’ll see we’re working most successfully. Rangatira, Northland Tribe. ...~..num.■■•a•■••a•••**»«>
