Miss Durelle Andrewes, Kohukohu, has been the guest of honour at two more functions, in view of her approaching marriage. At the golf links, a happy function took place, when Miss Andrewes was presented with a canteen of silver fish-knives and forks from the golf and tennis clubs. Mr Potter, on behalf of the Tennis Club, and Mr Bowler for the Golf Club, referred to the prominent part Miss Andrewes had taken in the respective sports, Mr L. Andrewes replied on behalf of his sister. Miss Andrewes was also guest of honour at a most enjoyable sherry party given by Miss C. Wynne at her home in Kohukohu.
A large number of friends were present to toast the bride-to-be. Supper was served, and all good wishes were extended to Miss Andrewes for her future happiness, and Miss Wynne presented her with a shoulder posy.
