Suspicious Fire At R.A.F. Headquarters

(Received 2. p.m.) LONDON, July 13,

Liverpool Criminal Investigation Department men were called early yesterday morning to a fire at the Royal Air Force headquarters at Speke Airfield, near the site of the £2,000,000 “shadow” aircraft factory. Flames seriously burned two R.A.F. trainer planes.

Brigades prevented the fire spreading to the newly completed airport buildings.
