Britons’ Expulsion From Italian Tyrol

LONDON, July 13

Speaking fn the House of Commons in answer to a reference to the expulsion of foreigners from Bolzano, in the Italian Tyrol, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr R. A. Butler, stated that the British Ambassador in Rome, Sir Percy Loraine, had, on instructions, already raised the question with Italy, and had fully reserved the rights of British subjects. He had in particular drawn, the attention of the authorities to the question of the transfer abroad of the proceeds of any liquidation of British property which might become necessary as a result of the order.
