S.P.C.A. Ladies Score As Dance Conductors

The women’s committee of the S.P. C.A. knows how to conduct dances. This was proved .at their old-time dance held in the Warrington Studios on Tuesday night, when proceedings were solely in the hands of the ladies. Mrs E. Hill was a jolly Mistress of Ceremonies, and ''Miss M. Ardern looked after the door. There was a large crowd present and an excellent supper was served. Competition dances proved popular and Mrs Ashton and Mr Litchfield were lucky in the Monte Carlo, while the spot prize fell to Mr Lawrence and partner. Dickinson’s band provided dance music. The committee comprised:—Mesdames Patterson, Hill, P.otts, Ferguson, Maynard, Waters, Fulljames, Fricker, Haynes, and Miss Ardern.
