Management Committee Meets
At Tuesday’s meeting of the management committee of the Otamatea Rugby Union J. Topia. of Mangawai, was stood down for Saturday, June 3. for arguing with the referee during the Hakaru-Western game. The committee finalised arranger ments for the Rodncy-Otamatea game at Mangawai on Saturday, June 10. The Waipu-Hakaru junior game will be played as a curtain-raiser to the main fixture, which was timed to start at 2,30 p.m. The Otamatea Referees’ Association notified that there would be an inspection of sprigs in all matches on Saturday next.
Details in connection with the start of primary schools’ football competitions were left in the hands of the teachers to finalise.
