Kohukohu Club Activities

During a recent week-end, lady members of the Kohukohu Golf Club competed in an approaching competition and a putting competition for a trophy presented by the ladies' captain. Mesdames Day, Molloy and Clapham tied for first place, and the play-off resulted in a win for Mrs Clapham.

The draw for the men’s captain's tourney has been posted in the clubhouse. The first round must be completed by June 12. The eclectic competitions are proving popular. The enthusiasm of the players after “birdies” has completely overshadowed the enthusiasm of the shootists after pheasants. The various Hokianga links are in good order. and are better than for some years. The standard of golf generally is higher. Most courses will benefit from the long dry spell of the last summer.
