Kaitaia’s Champion Baby
Mrs Eric Stensness’ daughter is the champion baby of Kaitaia. This decision was made by the judges at the baby show held in conjunction with Kaitaia’s carnival week.
Great interest was aroused by the contest which was judged by District Nurse Weir and Mrs F. Johnson. Following are the results:
Six months and under (12 entries): Mrs E. Stensness (girl), 1; Mrs M. Clifford (boy), 2.
Six to 12 months (eight entries): Mrs Mark Hammond (boy), 1; Mrs A. Matthews (boy), 2. Twelve to 18 months (six entries): Mrs J. N. Moore (boy), 1; Mrs Arnold Rae, 2.
Eighteen months to two years: Mrs Stewart Switzer (boy), 1; Mrs Ralph Jarvis (boy), 2.
Youngest baby in show: Mrs Busby (boy).
