Fish to Cost More in Whangarei
Fish is to be dearer by approximately Id per lb. in Whangarei. Local merchants meeting last night decided that the present retail price was uneconomical and that increases were necessary to meet the higher costs of carrying on the industry. It was agreed unanimously to raise the price by approximately one penny per lb. all round, the increase to take effect as from Monday', March 27. A notice to this effect appears in our advertising columns tonight.
