How Did They Die?
A BAFFLING MYSTERY
Unnatural Death, by Dorothy L. Sayers, is not a new book, but its issue by Cclliqs in a cheap edition, bound in blue cloth, at the English price of 1/(N.Z. 1/9) attracts attention. The
author is one of the outstanding writers of crime detective stories. Like others in the same line, she has created a famous amateur detective, Lord Peter Wimsey. Like Watson in the Sherlock Holmes stories, Inspector Parker of Scotland Yard serves the double purpbse of providing a well-informed official mind to discuss cases with Wimsey, and at the same time, to illustrate by contrast the superior brilliance of the amateur’s deductions.
