Bowling Tourney Continues In Fine Weather
Fine weather again favoured contestants in the Whangarei Bowling Club’s annual tourney, which .was postponed from Anniversary Day on account of wet weather, and resumed yesterday., Further results of play yesterday were: Jounneaux 3L T. H. Wilson 16; McDonald 19. Johnson 14; Grevillo 20, Courtney 15; Walder 24 Bright 7; Miller 22, Orr 14; Wilding 30, Kelly 9; Steele 24, Simon 13; Brewis 24, McLeod 18; Everett 21, Littlejohn 16. Curtis a bye. The defeat of the Balmoral rink, the holders of the trophy by a Whangarei rink, With Wilding as skip, was a further surprise of the tourney, especially when the score, 33—9, is considered.
