Over £l3 A Bale Realised At Dunedin’s Third Wool Sale

The third wool sale of the season in Dunedin yesterday, at which 27.266 bales wore offered, disclosed a market firm on late hates, not only in Dunedin but elsewhere, with an encouraging improvement in the inquiry for the finer types of wool.
With an estimated average price per lb yesterday of about 9|d, or a little over £l3 a bale, the gross proceeds from the sales, should be in the vicinity of £338,000. The total for the three Dunedin sales to date should be just on £1,000,000.
The top price realised for the sale was 15 yd for throe bales of superfine combing Merino, and 17 bales of super combing Merino hogget realised 15Jd.
