Fighting Reported In Ruthenia
(Received 3 p.m.) LONDON, March 15,
General Prchala, Ruthenian Minister, informed Cabinet that he proclaimed the Czech army in Ruthenia an integral part of the German army. The German News Agency’s Bratislava correspondent says the railway was torn up near Chust, and that Czechs blew up an ammunition dump. An unconfirmed report says 20 were killed and 200 wounded in fighting near Chust.
It is reliably slated that there was bitter fighting in Ruthenia, with Czechs and Ruthenian nationals against Hungarians. All newspapers in Hungary urge the need to incorporate Ruthenia for the sake of Hungary's security.
