Hokianga Harbour Finances

Tho Hokianga Harbour Board, at its meeting on Tuesday at Rawcno, considered a financial statement for the perfod October 1. 1938. to February 10, 1939. Receipts were stated at £321 and expenditure at £585. The amount of £285 was carried forward.

The engineer, Mr L. S. Donnelly, reported that to instal a winch on the Fanguru wharf would cost £75. The chairman, Mr A. C. Yarborough, said that as it would only bo used by one man, the matter should be considered carefully. It was decided that any expenditure at Panguru should be used on providing facilities for storage and alterations to the wharf shed.

The new by-law granting the board authority to license launches and other vessels plying for hire, having been sanctioned by the Marine Department, was formally adopted at the meeting.
